Day 24 - Hey Pigs!

HEY PIGS!
YOUR MOTHER DOES NOT LIVE HERE. PUT YOUR RUBBISH IN THE BIN & DONT LEAVE YOUR BUTTS ON THE FlOOR!!

This is the sign put up on the kitchen wall and the wall right behind a fridge. Except for the lower case of L in the floor, there seems to be no obvious error in terms with grammar and spelling.  But obviously, it was not written by a decent person.  I do not like this.  I do not think this was placed by cleaners working from 7am till late every day.  So it must be a guard.  When I find a time, I might fill in a complaint form.

Yesterday was another exhausting day.  It was because there was an interview for IMP.  I was told that IMP stands for Individual Management Plan, whatever that means.  It seems that there is a fortnightly interview report by a Serco guard to be submitted to the Immigration for the purpose of IMP.  The interview was attended only by one guard who makes a note afterwards and asks the detainee who was the interviewee to sign for the approval of the note.  If you thought, 'Oh, no,,,. Don't ask it to Villawood Survivor', you know me.

The guard who came to interview me was a very old Chilean who told me that she had been a high school teacher for English and math in Bankstown, Cabramatta etc.  I now know why this country's kids have some serious problems in literacy and numeracy.   Anyway,  She told me that she decided to retire from teaching at school at the age of 55 because she felt the age gap between kids and herself and then took up this job.  She told all sorts of her (supposedly?) achievements.  Then she asked me whether there is any health issue.  I said 'No, although I cough a bit' and explained that the Property had failed to give me sufficient clothes and blankets.  She told me how stingy and nasty the Property was.  She asked me how I felt about the food.  I said 'It's OK'.  Then she asked me whether there was any other issue.  I told her that there were many other issues so I wrote them using the forms for complaints.  I told her about problems associated with Ms Serial Thief etc.

Then the note resulting from the interview came.  It said,

'Detainee has no health issue.  Detainee has no problem with food and attends every meal at the mess.  Detainee told me that she was writing a complaint form.  She was told that she should bring an issue with the compound officer first since most issues are resolved on the spot.  Detainee understood it.'

Here we go again.  Of course, I told her some corrections needed.  Then I was asked to amend so that I did.  She was not happy and said 'This is not your note'.  So what?  I have a right to correct errors of my personal information under the FOI Act.  Then her supervisor who I often have a chat with came.  We decided to delete everything which does not satisfy either party.  Result?  Three lines are left.  1. Detainee has no health issue.  2. Detainee has no food problem.  3. Detainee wrote complaints using forms.

I do not want to waste my time every two weeks.   This is another reason I have to get out of here quickly.
